Yanick Allwood
Canadian singer, multi-keyboardist, composer and sound designer Yanick Allwood has been performing professionally since a very young age. He released a gospel album at the age of 7 and then went on to play Young Simba in the Ed Mirvish production of the Lion King as well as a myriad of other roles in theatre and TV. After Yanick studied classical piano performance at Western University, he toured internationally and released 4 albums with his highly acclaimed group After Funk. He has recently been featured on the Canadian talk show, THE SOCIAL and you can often hear his music playing on CBC radio. Now on the verge of expanding his musical career as a solo artist, 2021 sees YANICK releasing new music, including “A Tribute to Donny [Hathaway]” an artistic contribution to mental health and race awareness. Yanick is performing at the 2022 World Fair and Expo in Dubai from September 2021 to April 2022.
